What does "zero-knowledge" actually mean?
Your business data, invoices, customer lists, GSTINs, line items, is encrypted on your device with a key derived from a password only you know. The encrypted blob is what we back up to Google Drive. Our servers see the ciphertext, never the contents. Even if our database leaked tomorrow, nobody could read your invoices without your password.
Will it import my existing Tally data?
Yes, drop any Tally .xls export (day book, sales register, item-wise) and our parser auto-detects the header layout, extracts invoices, flags anomalies (missing HSN, mismatched GSTIN, etc.), and prepares them for review. Parser version is shown on every import for traceability.
What if I cancel? Do I lose my data?
No. Your encrypted vault lives on your device + your own Google Drive. If you cancel, we stop charging you and put the account in read-only. You can export everything as PDF/Excel any time, and the local vault keeps working until you uninstall.
How is billing handled?
Razorpay subscriptions in INR, billed monthly. UPI, cards, net-banking, all supported. We never store card details; Razorpay does. Cancel from the in-app settings any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Is Ledgester for me if I'm a CA managing many clients?
The Practitioner tier supports 10-client switching from a single login, bulk filing prep, white-label PDFs with your firm's logo, and priority support. We also handle handoff: invite a client to share read-access of their vault with you, time-bounded.
Does Ledgester file my GST return for me?
Not directly, we prep everything (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 sheets reconciled and verified) and you upload to the government GSTN portal in two clicks. We don't want fiduciary liability for filing, but we make the prep painless.
